Description
The town museum in Kirchschlag in der Bucklige Welt is located right next to the late Gothic parish church and documents life in Kirchschlag. The town has a special historical significance as a borderland, as the castle ruins with the fire tower point out. In the town museum you will find various exhibits on topics such as church life, bourgeois and rural life as well as interesting facts about the fortified borderland. Special exhibitions are also shown on various occasions. Outside opening hours, appointments are possible by prior arrangement.
Arrival by public transport
Coming from Vienna or Graz, get off at Wr. Neustadt main station. From there, take the Aspangbahn to Edlitz-Grimmenstein station and continue by regional bus to Kirchschlag/Gemeindeamt station. From there it is approx. 100 m.
