Description
Around 1820, the Krumbach fortified church still had a crenellated defensive wall, of which only remnants remain today. A cast-iron bay window above the former entrance to the church, which was accessible from a separate upper floor of the church built between the vaulted floor and the attic, has been completely preserved. A second bay window was removed during renovation work. Keyholes and embrasures are still partially visible.
The side entrance leads to the choir, from where you have a view over the chancel and the church.

Coming from Vienna or Graz, get off at Wr. Neustadt main station. From there take the Aspangbahn to Edlitz-Grimmenstein station, continue by regional bus to Krumbach/Ortsmitte station. The church is approx. 100 m away.
