About our farm
Our small 12-hectare farm is located in the middle of the beautiful Bucklige Welt in Krumbach. Our first 6 alpacas came to our farm in September 2015. In the meantime, the herd has grown.
Our animals always have the opportunity to either rest in the soft hay in the barn or to go out to pasture whenever they want. We have fenced off 1 ha for our animals. On the remaining fields we harvest fresh hay for the winter months.
Alpacas are fascinating animals - they are very adaptive and curious. When they run and jump joyfully across the green meadows, we are automatically delighted, because we know that this is a sign of healthy and happy animals: This is a sign of healthy and fit animals!
Alpaca walks and guided tours
During the guided tours, the extensive knowledge of the Lower Austrian alpaca farm is shared - about husbandry, wool and much more. You can get to know the animals even better on an alpaca hike. This is a great way to forget about everyday life, as the sensitive animals demand attention. The hike leads across meadows and through forests or to the lake in Krumbach.
- Suitable for children aged 6 and over
- Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed to accompany us on the hike
- Hikes are not possible in all weather conditions
- during the hot summer months in July and August we do not offer walks for the welfare of our animals
Farm shop
In our farm store we sell women's and men's hats, gloves, socks, ponchos, scarves, cuddly blankets and shoe insoles made from alpaca fleece. We also have wool in various colors for knitting and crocheting. Quilts (140cm x 200cm) can be purchased, filled with 1,200 g or 1,400 g alpaca fleece and, of course, the matching pillows. Other sizes and filling quantities are also possible if ordered in advance.
Arrival by public transport
Coming from Vienna or Graz to Wr. Neustadt main station. From there, take the Aspangbahn to Edlitz-Grimmenstein station and continue by regional bus to Unterhaus station. The Alpakahof is right next to the bus stop.
