Altes Kellerhaus

Description

The history of this iconic building dates back to the 16th century, as the cellar house was built in 1585 and used to serve as a press house for the Frohsdorf estate.

Legend also has it that there was once an underground passageway to one of the nearby castles in case the castle was besieged.

Since 1909, it has been run as an inn and later also as a snack bar. After 3 years of inactivity, the new operators Kristoffer & Jessica are now bringing it back to life. Just like back then, there are small traditional snacks and good drinks, as well as an incomparable ambience that invites you to enjoy and linger.
