Das GrimmenStein

Description

Located in the middle of Grimmenstein on the Wechselbundesstraße, "Das GrimmenStein" combines the qualities of a modern restaurant with the coziness of a rustic inn. Marc Fedyna and Maximilian Sokol opened "Das GrimmenStein" on the former site of the former Tanzler inn in November 2023.

Modernity meets tradition

The menu features modern Austrian dishes as well as traditional classics. Many regional and seasonal ingredients are cooked into wonderful dishes every day by head chef Marc Fedyna, with dishes such as the ragout of Zickental moor oxen or the caramelized cream cheese from the Schwarz family from Stang already becoming popular classics.
The dishes are accompanied by creative, seasonal aperitifs and selected Austrian wines. In addition to classics from Lower Austria and Styria, the wine selection is rounded off with more unusual wines such as the Uhulder "Unikat" from the Hirschmann winery.

Space for coziness

"Das GrimmenStein" offers space for up to 60 people indoors. In summer, the small garden invites you to linger. The adjoining Kulmriegelsaal offers space for events of all kinds, whether birthday parties, weddings, Christmas parties or company events. The Kulmriegelsaal can accommodate up to 150 people. With room seating without tables, the capacity can be extended to 250 people. A professional projector, screen and microphone as well as lighting and sound equipment are available for lectures and presentations.

How to get there

"Das GrimmenStein" is easy to reach both by car (about 5 minutes from the highway exit) and by public transport (opposite Edlitz-Grimmenstein train station). It is also an ideal stopover for passing hiking or cycling routes, such as EuroVelo 9.
