Gasthaus Reisenbauer

Description

Hidden behind a petrol station in Scheiblingkirchen, Gasthaus Reisenbauer looks rather inconspicuous. But it's worth a second look. That's a promise. Landlady Eva-Maria Reisenbauer brings fresh spice to the region with her creative cuisine. The inn at the gateway to the Bucklige Welt is in demand. Uphill and downhill. The wild boar pâté "the house way" with pumpkin and apple chutney gives you an idea. Game dishes are tastefully prepared. The roast venison in root sauce with napkin dumplings is perfectly braised. A favorite main course is the chicken saltimbocca with grilled prosciutto on tagliatelle, vegetables and cream sauce. The herbs for the seasonal dishes come from the restaurant's own garden. Guests like to take home their own products such as cantuccini, spices, chutneys and jams.

Tradition that obliges

The business has existed since 1954 and a lot has happened since then. Gasthaus Reisenbauer has developed from a milk bar and rest stop into an authentic tavern. The premises are friendly and flooded with light. During the last renovation in 2009, the establishment was given a new name - the Christophorus Stub'n. The family did not want to do without the name Reisenbauer. It stands for the highest quality and is closely associated with the region. Family celebrations on a grand scale are often held in the popular inn. The banquet hall with 150 seats is the preferred venue. In addition to the regional inn cuisine, a generous portion of hospitality is always served.
