Scheiblingkirchen - Thernberg

Description

Welcome to Scheiblingkirchen - Thernberg

The market town of Scheiblingkirchen - Thernberg is located roughly in the middle of the Pittental, where the Schlattental branches off from the Pittental to the east.

The Türkensturz is the most striking rock in the Pittental valley.

Situated above the Gleißenfeld district, it forms the center of the "Türkensturz Park".

Scheiblingkirchen, the political and economic center, takes its name from the Romanesque round church and is a popular summer resort due to its location on the Aspangbahn. The town is also home to a new secondary school, which has already made a name for itself far beyond our borders thanks to its commitment to European and environmental issues.

The EuroVelo 9 long-distance cycle route runs through the districts of Gleißenfeld and Scheiblingkirchen. For those interested in history, there is an Archduke Johann documentation in the old Mesnerhaus in Thernberg, which is open from the end of May to the end of October on Sundays and public holidays (14:00 - 17:00).
