Details for: Wechsel Panorama Trail: Nordic Arena

Brief description

The Nordic Arena loop trail is suitable for beginners and inexperienced cross-country skiers. The trail is groomed for both classic and skating styles.

Description

The entire Wechsel Panorama Trail is located at over 1,000 meters altitude. This guarantees not only wonderful panoramic views of Schneeberg, Rax, Wechsel, and the surrounding regions but also high snow reliability. Provided there is enough snow for grooming, the trail is groomed from early December to the end of March and runs through varied terrain. It also divides into smaller loop trail sections.

The shortest loop is the Nordic Arena (Trail No. 2). At about 3 kilometers, it is also ideal for beginners. Additionally, this loop trail includes a 300 m long, flat practice trail (Trail No. 3), also groomed for classic and skating styles.

Day tickets for the Wechsel Panorama Trail are available at the trail cashier at the Steyersberger Schwaig entry point. The namesake alpine hut next door is also a popular place to stop for refreshments.
