The Bourbon Trail focuses on the decades-long charitable work of the last legitimate French king, Henry V., in the person of the Count of Chambord (1820-1883) and his aunt Marie Thérèse Charlotte de Bourbon, Duchess of Angoulême (1778-1851) for Lanzenkirchen.

The life's work of the Count of Chambord, who lived in exile in Frohsdorf in Austria from 1844 to 1883, extends far beyond the feudal castle of Frohsdorf: the foundation stone for the Sta. Christiana Frohsdorf school was laid by his aunt, Duchess of Angoulême. A walk along the Bourbon Trail will give you historical insights into this period and you can discover many other traces of the Bourbons in Lanzenkirchen, including the Lilienhof, Sta. Christiana school, French graves, etc....
