Fancy a goat? Organic goat's cheese and goat's yoghurt fresh from the Bucklige Welt: Lichtenegg in the Bucklige Welt is home to over 300 goats, whose milk is carefully processed into delicious organic cheese and yoghurt. Michael Mandl and his team make sure of this.

The goat's milk project began for the Mandl family with a single goat. Back then, Michael Mandl was still a child. Today, around 300 goats roam the lush meadows and stables of the goat farm. The organic goat's milk is processed in the farm's own cheese dairy into delicious goat's cheese balls, cream cheese rolls in various herb and spice coatings, feta-style goat's cheese, grilled goat's cheese and organic goat's yoghurt.

Mandl's Ziegenhof has already received several awards for its goat's cheese products - most recently the "Kasermandl 2023" in gold. The organic farm also won the Austrian Climate Protection Award in the agriculture category in 2015. This is because Michael Mandl attaches great importance to sustainability both in the keeping and feeding of his goats and in production. For Michael Mandl, organic is the only way to go.

The exquisite range of fresh goat's cheese is available in the farm store alongside a colorful assortment from the region and all over Austria. There is also the unique "Goaß-Kino": the goats can be watched playing, eating and chilling through two large windows.

Visitors to Mandl's goat farm can also look forward to an adventure area. The GOAT PANORAMA provides even more insight into the colorful goats, their husbandry, feeding and the processing of the valuable organic goat's milk and makes the trip there even more exciting.

During guided tours of the farm, you can learn interesting facts about life on the farm, the goats' everyday lives and the production of delicious goat's cheese products.
