Meilensteinweg Seebenstein - Scheiblingkirchen
Historical sites, Outdoor adventure, Ruins, Scenic lookout
Description
Two circular hiking trails connect the communities of the Pittental Valley, whose history is closely linked.
The natural landscape offers an impressive backdrop: Rare plant and animal species, spectacular limestone cliffs, wide meadows with old trees, hidden caves and magnificent views make the milestone trail a special experience.
Seebenstein Castle, which has defied the forces of nature and other dangers since the Middle Ages, the ruins of the Türkensturz with its gruesome legends and the Annenruh, from where you can let your gaze wander over gentle hills under an iron pavilion, are historical milestones that shape the Pittental together with nature.
Walk along the same paths as Archduke Johann once did, marvel at the Renaissance and Romantic buildings and be enchanted by old legends.
The circular hiking trails are equally suitable for families, occasional hikers and nature lovers and can be combined with other trails. Numerous Excursion destinations provide variety.
