Description
Garden paradise in the shade of the woods
The approx. 2000 m² organic garden, framed by wild shrub hedges, is a garden of diversity. From the shady entrance area, past the composting area, vegetable patch and berry patch, you reach the low-maintenance flower beds. Here, particular emphasis is placed on perennial planting and climate-appropriate perennials.
Parts of the meadow between the fruit trees are left as a flower meadow and only cut with a scythe later in the year. A small wild woodland strip forms the upper end of the garden.
Bees, bumblebees, butterflies and many other insects find food in the flowers from early spring to fall. Various bird species (tits, robins, wrens, nuthatches, woodpeckers, ...), lizards, grass snakes, squirrels and many more are among the animal co-inhabitants. A small wetland biotope creates a habitat for dragonflies, water striders and pond newts as well as drinking and bathing opportunities for the birds.
When renovating the garden shed, a conscious decision was made to recycle and upcycle existing materials.
