Pfarrkirche Hollenthon

Church, Historical sites

Description

Hollenthon is considered an example of the reversion of fortified churches to buildings serving only religious purposes in the Baroque period. The church complex, which once had a defensive upper storey, was completely altered by the conversion. Small remains of the defensive wall are still preserved. Its location within the village gives an idea of its importance at the time.

The church is open during the day and freely accessible.
