A visit to Wolfsbräu in the Bucklige Welt shows just how well old and new go together. The microbrewery is located in an old farmhouse that has been modernized with great attention to detail. This fits in well with the history of Wolfsbräu, which combines traditional roots with modern brewing methods: Beer history was written in Carinthia's Lavanttal valley 400 years ago and Karin and Markus Wagner have been adding a successful chapter to it in Thernberg since 2012.

You can talk to Markus Wagner for a long time about the special features of Wolfsbräu beers. About the natural fermentation process, the absence of pasteurization or the crystal-clear water from the Thernberg village spring. The best way to do this is on a guided tour with tasting in the private brewery. But parties are also possible by arrangement in the cozy restaurant.

Give craft beer as a gift and drink it yourself

With Kristall, Zwickl and Bock, there are three delicious varieties to choose from, which you can also give as gifts in the pretty swing-top bottles (1l and 2l). There are also practical solutions for those with a somewhat greater thirst in the form of 10, 20 and 30-liter kegs. Wolfsbräu is available directly from the farm during opening hours (Mon-Wed, 8am-1pm). It's even easier to enjoy it at one of the many partner businesses.
