Scenic circular hiking route through Hochegg to the Hollabrunner Ridge

Leírás

The circular hiking route leads away from the village square in Hochegg, along Himberger Street to the viewpoint with views over the Vienna Basin, Pittental, and Türkensturz. Following the path to Hollabrunner Ridge, you get further views of the Rax, Hohe Wand, Schneeberg, and Wechsel. From Hollabrunner Ridge, the path returns to the starting point.

Marking H1

The route starts from the village square into Himberger Street. From there, continue to the viewpoint, then further left towards the forest up to the water reservoir. Pass to the right there and follow the signs to Grubbauern Height. Follow Hollabrunner Street over the Hollabrunner Ridge up to the transformer. Then go left along the larch trees, past the state hospital and back via Hochegger Street to the village square.

Érkezés

Take the Südautobahn A2 at the Grimmenstein exit, then left onto Wechselbundesstraße, past the village of Grimmenstein and turn right towards Hochegg before the intersection towards Aspang.

Parkolás

At the entrance to Hochegg there is a large parking lot, also opposite the former Gasthof zur Linde.

To the Edlitz-Grimmenstein train station, then take the bus to Hochegg
