Részletek: Winter hike on the Waterway Grimmenstein

Rövid leírás

A comfortable circular hiking trail along the waterway in Grimmenstein with views of the wintery Kulmriegel.

Leírás

One of many beautiful hiking trails in and around Grimmenstein is the Waterway (G2). It leads hiking enthusiasts along the paved Eurovelo9 along the Pitten through a varied environment. The starting point is the town hall square in Grimmenstein, which depending on the season is the center of social activity. From there, the path extends north, through huts to Petersbaumgarten. There, a refreshment awaits walkers at the Pichler guesthouse. Those who prefer to stay on paved paths can return here along the route back to Grimmenstein.

Alternatively, opposite the Pichler guesthouse, the path goes through the valley settlement along the Kegelbach to the Ursula spring. A small section of the path leads through a wooded area with a magnificent view of the Kulmriegel with Grimmenstein Castle, gradually heading back towards Grimmenstein. You rejoin the Eurovelo9, and the last part of the path resembles the beginning. When you finally reach the town hall square, you can relax there to end the day comfortably.

Utak leírása Winter hike on the Waterway Grimmenstein

The starting point of the route is the town hall square. From there, the path leads over Schulgasse and the Upper Auweg. Following the signs towards Petersbaumgarten, it goes left along the Pitten on the Thermal Bike Path. In Petersbaumgarten, there is a turn to the right, past the motorway maintenance depot. Shortly afterwards, the Pichler guesthouse is reached, where the federal road is crossed. Along the Kegelbach, the path leads to the Ursula spring near the valley settlement. Then continue to the right, heading south, through the forest back to Grimmenstein, following the signs towards Grimmenstein (marked with G2).

The Kieneggerstraße is reached and the federal road is crossed again. Through huts and over the Weidensteg, it goes back to the Upper Auweg, which is followed to Schulgasse. This ends directly at the starting point, the town hall square.
