Brief description

You can get to know the market town of Edlitz in no time using the circular hiking trail "Plaudermarkt".

Description

Those who want to explore the beautiful market town of Edlitz on a leisurely walk can do so on the circular hiking trail "Plaudermarkt." The town center is easily accessible both by public transport and by car, making it an ideal starting point for a hike through Edlitz. Along the way, you pass a Nah und Frisch market, a Raiffeisen bank, the municipal office, and the schools. The Nepomuk Chapel is also directly on the path. A visit to the beautifully late-Gothic fortified church in Edlitz, as well as the interesting and informative introductory documentation of the Defensive Churches Route, is definitely worth it. In Edlitz, the Defensive Churches Route "Bucklige Welt" starts, which leads past the beautiful fortified churches of Krumbach, Hochneukirchen, Bad Schönau, Kirchschlag, Lichtenegg, Hollenthon, Wiesmath, Hochwolkersdorf, Bromberg, Lanzenkirchen, and Katzelsdorf. The Plaudermarkt loop then goes along the Edlitzbach and through lovely forest paths, past the sports ground, back into the town. Due to the short and mostly flat route, it is suitable for young and old. However, the forest path is not stroller-friendly.
