Gasthof Heissenberger
Description
The green-oval seal of quality of the Lower Austrian restaurant culture is not the only radiant figurehead at Gasthof Heissenberger. A small ceramic plaque with the title "Kitchen Laboratory" adorns the entrance area of the kitchen. So it is only natural that the innkeepers Birgit and Christian Heissenberger like to experiment with regional products. In the middle of the beautiful market town of Krumbach, the restaurant has developed into a popular place for fans of typical pub cuisine. The history of the restaurant dates back to 1839 and since 2007 the predominantly seasonal dishes have borne the signature of the Heissenberger family.
Game and fish from the Bucklige Welt
There are many top culinary addresses in the Bucklige Welt. Gasthof Heissenberger is one of them. The hotel's cuisine can be described as follows: authentic, honest and focused on the essentials. Seasonal offers such as game days and fish weeks are just two of the many themed highlights throughout the year. Classic dishes include baked pork schnitzel, turkey pancakes with noodles and roast onions with roast potatoes. The homemade Hollerkoch with vanilla ice cream from Eis-Greissler is a change from the classic desserts served in many places. The interior of the inn exudes coziness. You can choose between the Stüberl, the Gaststube or the ballroom, which can accommodate up to 170 people.
