Route description R1_Hiking in Hollenthon _Spratzeck - Gleichenbach - Obereck-Hollenthon round

The starting point is always the GH Posch in the center of Hollenthon. Follow the markings of the respective circular hiking trail along the route. The endpoint is also the parking lot. Hollenthon - via Horndorf along the stream to Hanselstein – towards Spratzeck – past the fire station towards Rammelmühle – behind the old sawmill follow the markings to Gleichenbach – along the road to Untereck, Mittereck to Obereck. Then follow the Central Alpine Trail back to Hollenthon. Distance: 13.5 km.

Directions

Coming from VIENNA: A2 to the Wr. Neustadt junction, then take the S4 towards Mattersburg - exit Lanzenkirchen, turn right towards Bucklige Welt - Lanzenkirchen - Hochwolkersdorf (birthplace of 2nd Republic) - Wiesmath - HOLLENTHON.

Coming from GRAZ: A2 exit Grimmenstein - right onto B54 - after 500 m turn left towards Kaltenberg/Lichtenegg -

after 6 km in Kaltenberg turn right towards Lichtenegg - after 50 m turn left again to HOLLENTHON (6 km).

Coming from EISENSTADT: S 31 exit Forchtenstein - then Hochwolkersdorf-Wiesmath-HOLLENTHON.
