Brief description

On the Schwarzenbach local circular hiking routes, you can start at any point and choose a route of your choice according to the color-coded difficulty levels. The stroller-friendly routes are marked on this map – to see all options, please refer to the map attached as an image file.

Description

Small routes suitable for strollers are possible as well as longer hikes through the whole village. Along the paths, you will find info boards and signposts (pay attention to the arrow direction!). At many boards, you can scan a QR code for interesting background information about the respective attraction.

Route description Schwarzenbach local circular walking routes

For stroller-friendly routes, follow the green footprints on the map under Media. Red footprints indicate a medium difficulty level, and black stands for rough/forest paths.

Directions

Coming from Vienna: A2 direction Graz, exit Krumbach, at the "Weißes Kreuz" intersection (former inn) turn left, continue to Hollenthon and Wiesmath, in Wiesmath turn right after the municipal office onto "Höllstraße". Follow the street until the T-junction. There is the Celtic park. Turn right and follow the street to the desired point.

Coming from Graz: A2 direction Vienna, exit Grimmenstein, continue left to Warth and Scheiblingkirchen, turn right after Spar, over the bridge, follow the street, go through Innerschildgraben, in Thernberg turn left at the Thaler country inn and continue along Brombergerstraße, turn right at the T-junction, then left at the next T-junction. Continue to Hochwolkersdorf, in the village turn right at the T-junction and then left. Follow Schwarzenbachstraße, keep left after the hairpin bends and continue along the street to the desired point.

Main station Wr. Neustadt, continue with regional bus 380 towards Hollenthon church, change at Hochwolkersdorf main street to regional bus 381 towards Schwarzenbach Unterort. For example, get off at the municipal office.

The open-air museum with viewing tower is worth a visit; on the festival grounds of the Celts you can also admire peacocks, llamas, chickens, rabbits, etc.
