The circular hiking path (approx. 1 km) extends along Austria's first weather educational trail (www.wetterlehrpfad.at) with an excellent view of the charming town of Hollenthon.
Description
Hollenthon is one of the most beautiful municipalities in Bucklige Welt and one of Austria's sunniest municipalities. A beautiful Baroque church is worth a visit.
For the physical well-being of our guests, the Gasthaus Posch and the "dahoam" restaurant in town as well as the inn "Zum Stickelberg" in Stickelberg provide.
In suitable snow conditions, it might be possible to sled or toboggan with children at the Wetterkreuz-Riegel towards the town.
Enjoying the silence in the winter nature of Bucklige Welt and gaining new energy away from the hustle and bustle of urban centers is equally enjoyable and healthy.

The fortified church Hollenthon is considered an example of transforming fortified churches into buildings used solely for religious purposes during the Baroque period. The conversion completely changed the church complex, which was formerly equipped with a defensive upper floor. Small remains of the defensive wall are still preserved. Its location within the town hints at its former significance.
