Kurpark Bad Schönau

Outdoor adventure

Description

The extensive spa park in the center of the spa town of Bad Schönau invites you to relax and unwind. In spring and summer, you can explore all the blooming splendor on well-paved - mostly asphalted - paths. (Parents and grandparents can take a break while the children play in the playground. The narrative benches and books tell stories from the 1000 hills, which you can listen to alongside the gentle sound of leaves and streams.

Cheerfully quacking ducks frolic in the pond and the music pavilion offers a varied cultural program with free admission throughout the summer. Here you can take a seat on the red benches in front of the pavilion and listen to the music. On Corpus Christi, Bad Schönau and the Kurpark in particular become the setting for the "Big Festival in a Small Village" - a program item of "Fabelhaft!", the narrative art and storytelling festival. The storytelling benches and books in the spa park tell of this festival throughout the summer. Benches with a strange and very special appearance each tell their own story by Folke Tegetthoff, while the larger-than-life books read stories by various storytellers from all over the world. A leisurely stroll through the park is best rounded off with coffee and ice cream specialties in the Kurkonditorei.
