E-bike route through Lichtenegg and Hollenthon. The wind turbine with observation platform in Lichtenegg is the highlight of the round. Access is only possible by guided tour, which must be individually requested from the operator, but the view from below also extends far over the 1000 hills of the Bucklige Welt and up to Lake Neusiedl.
The wind turbine route has a light blue marking. It can be shortened in Hollenthon. Ambitious e-bikers can connect this route with the Hexenroute, Wetterroute or St. Anna route.

Start the route in Lichtenegg. Follow the main road and Maierhöfen. Turn right at Pürrerkreuz towards Pesendorf via Tafern. In Pesendorf, pass the wind turbine with observation platform (tours can be requested here office@bww.cc). In the forest afterwards, you can turn right to visit Mandl's goat farm. Continue along Pesendorf and Lehen until you reach Hollenthon. Possibility to take the connecting paths to the Hexenroute and the Annaroute. Otherwise, turn right, past the Posch guesthouse. (To shorten the route, you can turn right here onto L4101, then turn right again on the path.) Slightly turn left to Spratzeck, follow the road and then turn right into Spratzau. Follow the road layout and the Spratzbach, keep uphill on the right and return to Lichtenegg.
The route is marked with signs "Windradroute Nr. 5" in light blue.
If coming from Vienna, drive along the A2 to the Edlitz exit. Take the B55 and the L4176 and L145 to Lichtenegg.
If coming from Graz, drive along the A2 to the Aspang exit. Take the L4179 and the L145 to Lichtenegg.
