Brief description

This mountain bike route leads from Krumbach via Feichten, Groß Buchegg and Untertiefenbach back to Krumbach.

Description

Mountain biking in the land of 1,000 hills. Uphill and downhill, the stone circle route leads through the Bucklige Welt. The towns of Bad Schönau and Krumbach are recommended. There is much to see and numerous places to rest and eat.

Route description Stone circle route

We ride from the start point towards the swimming pool. We turn right onto Alte Straße. At the bus stop, we curve slightly right onto Schlossstraße. We pass Krumbach Castle. We follow the path. After about 2.5 km we come back onto the road. We pass through Pichl and Hosien. We turn left onto Außerlehen. Then left again onto Saubichl and after about 100 meters right onto the path. Then we follow the road through meadows and Groß Buchegg. We arrive in Bad Schönau. We ride along the right side of the Zöbernbach brook and come onto Wiener Straße. Then we turn left to Untertiefenbach. We follow the road for about 2 km and then turn left onto the path. At the Rosenkranz chapel we turn right and then left onto Tiefenbachstraße. We reach the starting point of the route again in Krumbach. 

 

Directions

Coming from Vienna, take the A2 to the Krumbach exit, then B55 to Krumbach.

Coming from the south, take the A2 to the Aspang exit, direction Zöbern then to Krumbach.

Coming from the west, take the A1 to the Steinhäusl junction, then onto the A21, from the A21 to the Vösendorf junction, then onto the A2, take the A2 to the Krumbach exit, then B55 to Krumbach.

Parking

Parking available at the Raiffeisen Bank.

Take the train from Wiener Neustadt to Edlitz-Grimmenstein and then the bus to Krumbach.
